Bus Ministry and "Shepherds"

Our bus ministry reaches out to children who would be unable to attend on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings otherwise.

Currently, we need responsible adults and youth to sit with children from the bus ministry during the Sunday morning worship service. "Shepherds" should meet with children gathered in front of the office after Sunday School and "team up" for the upcoming service. "Shepherds" should help the children participate in hymn-singing, Bible reading, and prayers. There are children's materials available at the back of the sanctuary. If you are willing to participate in this very important ministry, please see Frankie Ball or Belinda Honeycutt, office administrator.

SUITCASES, ETC.

Do you have some suitcases, duffle bags, or back packs that are good but just taking up storage space? Children in foster care would find any of these items useful. These children could use the cases to put their belongings in while they are being moved to a foster home. Leave your good, clean, useable cases under the table outside the church office area. They will be delivered to the local office of Dependent Children's Services. For more information, contact Pat Ramey.

SONSHINE MINISTRY (Homebound Ministry)

The Sonshine Ministry (Homebound Ministry) reaches out to church members and other friends in their homes or in care facilities. Some of the activities include visitation, delivery of Sunday School and other materials, celebration of birthdays, and communion. The Sonshine Ministry of the church also sends a weekly copy of the publication "Home Touch" to shut-ins. Copies are also available on the table at the back of the sanctuary and on the tables outside the front sanctuary doors for anyone who would like to have one. Contact: Donna Colegrove.

Gifts to the Soldiers

We have decided to continue with the gifts to soldiers. It is requested that donations consist of phone cards or money to purchase phone cards. This will enable us to serve more soldiers by putting our money into a usable item rather than postage. It has also been emphasized that they always appreciate cards and letters. For additional information, please contact Dr. Michael Colegrove
